US Navy Shoots Sounds Into Your Head
The US Navy is apparently involved with the Sierra Nevada Corporation in creating a “Ray Gun” that shoots sound beams into the targets head. This is accomplished by exploiting the “microwave audio effect.” Meaning the ray uses short microwave pules to rapidly heat tissue inside the skull causing a “shockwave inside the skull.” Scientists soon hope to fine-tune the beam to create recognizable sounds.
Marketing companies have already been experimenting with similar technology of beaming voices and sounds into consumers heads for several years in the form of “Talking Billboards”.
